My Travel Story

I am a final year undergraduate student at Cardiff University studying on the Human and Social Sciences degree programme and I will be taking part in the 8 week Psychology Mental Health Advanced Placement with SLV Global!
Having volunteered abroad before, I am very excited to be offered the opportunity to do so again but on the island of Sri Lanka. Having studied psychology for the past five years, I would love to be able to transfer my skills into an environment other than the classroom, and not just in my own everyday life. Being able to work with others and focusing around the areas of mental health is an exciting opportunity that I look forward to being a part of, and I would love to make an impact, even if just to one person's life.
With a love for travel, Sri Lanka is a country I have never visited before but it is one that has always been on my list of places to go to, so not only does the volunteering placement give me the opportunity to use aspects of my degree, but it also enables me to explore more of the world.
