Hello! My name is Katarina Montoya and I am currently a Sophomore at New Mexico State University and I will be studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain during the Fall semester of 2024. I have decided to take advantage of this experience as a chance to travel, meet new people, improve my Spanish communication skills, and to get fully immersed in a new culture. I take a lot of pride in my education and believe that the knowledge that I will get from living in another country will be unmatched! I will be living in Barcelona for around three months and will be participating in an intensive language program at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. As I am currently double majoring in Spanish and Political Science, this experience will greatly impact both my education as well as the knowledge and life experience that I will be taking with me into the Legal field. This opportunity will give me a much wider view of the world while also allowing me to make connections outside of the United States. As studying abroad is something that I have chosen to do without a lot of advance notice, my family has not saved up money for this experience and therefore is not able to help me fund it. With that being said, I am in need of financial assistance as support for this once in a lifetime experience, and your donation is a gift that could not be appreciated more!
