My Travel Story

I run a youth-led theatre organization called Skynet Theatres Production in Nakuru City, Kenya. We are registered under the Ministry of Sports and Culture. We perform High end literature stage plays in high schools allover Kenya, Filmmaking and Project Implementation. In 2021 we we're selected by Institute for Strategic Dialogue ISD based in London through its youth component Young Cities to carry out peace campaigns in Nakuru county using art. We shot a short film and recorded a song and we engaged the community using them as a conversation catalyst. We were very successful and we got the second phase of the funding. In 2022 and 2023 respectively we were selected by Open Dialogues International Foundation to spearhead conversations around climate change among the high-school going youth in Nakuru county. They were very successful and we have been invited to attend United Nations ' UNFCCC COP 28 from November 30th to December 12th 2023. We are sending two delegates to present our project at a side event. This will be career defining since our project will be projected at an international stage and we might get international organizations as partners who will help us achieve our target of fighting climate change effects using art to reach the youth in our community.
