My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Brian. I am a student in my final year of my undergrauate degree and I am studying environmental science. I have always dreamed of being able to go to Norway to see the snow, fjords, and Northern Lights. I would love to continue in my career field and be a scientist doing my best to understand the wonderful world that God has created and given to us to protect. Trying to understand the problems that plague our planet, like mass pollution and the slow destruction of ecosystems across the globe, can be a challenge to wrap your head around in the classroom, sitting in an air conditioned room. These problems are not ones that can be solved by studying a textbook or copying notes from a slide, but must be understood at the core of it all. Going to these far north places will help me to understand the locales where change is occurring and hopefully inspire me to push into research that maybe I can make a difference in the world around me.
This idea is passionate to me because I want to try to make a better life for everyone on Earth, even if only a little. So while this is only a vacation to celebrate me finally finishing my degree come springtime, I can use it to try to develop my interests in something that matters and develop a new perspective on my own life and on others.
Norway as a destination is important, because snow is a wonderful thing. To try and understand the careful balance between human development, progress, and sustainability is vital for all life in creation moving forward.
As a person, finding new ways to develop my perspective and understanding in ways that will help me reach new people. Growth can be achived in a person in many wonderful ways. If I can grow as a person, as a student, as a scientist, and as a man of God, then I can trust that I am moving forward to the right destination for the right reasons.
