This trip is very important to me considering my grandmother is 90 years old and Im hoping to be able to see her again before she passes away, I haven't visited the country my family is from since I was 2 years old and want to be able to get more in touch with my heritage and ancestoral background. It means a lot that I get to visit my grandmother as well as my many cousins, nieces and nephews while learning more about my roots. I would love to be able to visit the town my mother was raised in and see where my grandparents fell in love and eloped as they are the foundation of our family. Majority of the first generation American kids like myself have been able to go visit Romania every year and it breaks my heart that I haven't had the privilege of doing so. I would love to be able to experience the place where it all started and be able to be with my loved ones for Christmas as I know tomorrow isn't promised. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life as I know it will bring joy to many and help me learn more about my lineage. It means a lot that I will have the chance to connect with my loved ones and my culture.
