Welcome to my campaign! My name is Melanie Stepien, and I am hoping to earn some money to be able to travel with my girlfriend. We started dating back in 2021 when I came out of the closet that I was lesbian. I never thought I'd be as happy with someone as I am right now. But here's the real reason I started a campaign to help fund my travel dreams:

My mom and dad both passed away from pancreatic cancer just over a year apart. My dad passed in April 2020, and my mom in November 2021. I used to do a lot of travelling with my dad when I was younger, and we had so many plans to travel more, but unfortunately the cancer took over very quickly and we could no longer achieve our travelling dreams. 

My mom was born in Birmingham, England, and apparently I have tons of family in the UK that I've never met. My mom and I had a plan to travel there together so she could introduce me to my family there together, but unfortunately again, the cancer took over even faster than it did with my dad. She passed within a month of her cancer diagnosis. 

I have so many dreams and ambitions to travel and fulfil these travel plans, but with so many finance issues and bills that need to be paid, it's just not a legitimate reality right now.

That is why I'm seeking some assistance with funding my travels for the years to come so I can make memories with my girlfriend, and live the life my mom and dad always wanted me to.
