Intensive Mandarin Course in Taiwan
My Travel Story
I'm hoping to get accepted into the University of Washington in the Fall, to continue pursuing a major in basic linguistics, with a minor in Chinese. I hope to eventually do translations, or interpretations for the Seattle community, or even teach English as a second language for students abroad, or immigrants and students coming to the United States.
This experience will help me understand the Mandarin language in a cultural context, and not just in a class room setting. I have always been interested in the Chinese language, and Taiwan has always interested me culturally, politically, and linguistically. I also love Taiwanese food, though I've only ever eaten at resturaunts here in the United States.
I would greatly appreciate your donations, and hope that one day I can repay the kindness by helping others realize their travel abroad dreams.
Any extra donations, after paying the intial expenses will be donated to the Seattle Children's Hospital.
