Hi there! My name is Dariel, and I am a sophomore at the Honors College, Miami Dade College. I would be very grateful for any contribution to funding my study abroad in the United Kingdom. This opportunity will allow me to study and compare the Criminal Justice systems in England and the United States using statistics. I will visit the University College London, where Karl Pearson founded the world's first university statistics department, and The Winton Gallery, which examines the fundamental role of mathematicians. Also, I will explore prisons, judicial processes, and various historical events that shaped current policing and judicial processes. I would appreciate it if you contribute to my academic development as a first-generation college student and my first time traveling outside the US.
