Rino (9 years), is a child of South Sulawesi who came from Jeneponto. He should have been in grade 4 at the elementary school, but because he had to be a scavenger in Makassar, Rino gave up school.

Residing not far from the Tamangapa Makassar Waste Disposal Site (TPAS), Rino and her mother departed every morning around seven to work. They rest at midday to eat their mother's lunch. Almost every day, Rino eats rice with instant noodles or sometimes with fish.

After the break, Rino and her mother started returning to work under the scorching afternoon. Rino is very diligent in helping his mother make a living. Instead of complaining, Ia Rino thought the trash can was a playground for him.

Although he never protested, Rino should be at school, not on a rubbish hill located in three districts, namely Manggala, Tamangapa, and Biring Romang, and young scavengers can get proper learning and play spaces. Through the Bring and Give Hope program Outside of Trash (BRIGHT), they have the opportunity to access books, games, and various activities like children in general.

Friend, don't let the dreams and spirits of children like Rino go out. Help create a more decent life....
