As a Junior at San Diego State University, studying Kinesiology (pre-physical therapy), I started looking into programs to fulfill my study abroad requirement. Therapy Abroad offers an amazing program in Thailand catered specifically for students in my position. On this program I will get a chance to work with Physical and Occupational therapists to provide health services and support for families with special needs in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Not only will I be able to help make a difference in a cross-cultural community, but I will be able to gain hands-on experience in a setting that doesn't come around often. I chose this program specifically because unlike other study abroad programs, this one will directly make a positive impact on my education and future career. With the tools, education, and experience that I am expected to gain on this trip, I will be able to provide better services in the future for my own patients. In addition, I will get the chance to travel to a country I have never been before but am eager to explore. Click on the link to find out everything about the purpose of this trip.

Fun Fact: Elephants are my favorite animal and I would love more than anything to get the opportunity to hug one in Thailand.
