My Travel Story

Hi! My name is Jessica Naomi and I am currently a junior Marketing student within the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

My current mission is to study business abroad in Italy as well as experience an internship abroad. I absolutely love traveling! I love going off to foreign grounds and opening my eyes to the world. From traveling, I find inspiration to create anything from writing to bringing awareness of other cultures' issues to my peers so together we can find solutions. I will not only be studying abroad, but I will also be interning with an organization to gain professional international business work experience.

As much passion as I have about traveling, it comes at a very high cost that seems far from a college student's reach. I am currently saving a portion of my paychecks to prepare, but unfortunately it will not be enough from now (December) until my program fee due date in May.

I work full-time and go to school full-time, so I profoundly understand how precious time is and value everything I earn. I have been supporting myself financially since I was 16 and have learned to work hard to accomplish my goals. One of my current goals is to receive the Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship that I am applying for to reduce the amount set above.

I am reaching out to all of my connections, family, friends, collegues, and online community to help me achieve my goal. Any amount truly helps and would be very much appreciated. Your support and contribution will have a great impact in making my dream come true and will mean the world to me. Your contribution will allow me to be able to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity and will be factored in for me to gain real work experience abroad to prepare for my future career in marketing. I am planning to blog my way through my experience, so that anyone interested can follow me through my adventure in Italy.
