My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Tanesha. I am writing to ask for your support for my sisters to be able to attend my proposal. My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost four years and now have a small family. We have decided to move forward in our relationship by becoming engaged. We have chosen to do this during our trip to Miami, Florida June 18th - 20th, which is also my birthday weekend.  All of my sisters, but two are able to attend due to financial restrictions.  We are trying to save as much as possible to assist with their expenses, but time is now winding down. Most of us have families, are attending school , working fulltime, and trying to become first time home buyers. That in combination with the pandemic plus our individual responsibilities has made it difficult to save much while trying to also maintain the livelihoods of our own families. We come from a close knit single mother home were we have always done things collectively as a family. So far, there has not been a special occasion that we have missed in each others lives. Due to growing up in a low income home, most of us have not traveled outside of Memphis, TN, but we all are working tirelessly to break the cycle. It would mean the world to us for all of us  to be present to witness this joyous event together. Any amount would be gratefully appreciated! The funds raised would not only go towards a roundtrip flight and a room for them both to share, but will help us break our generational curse of single parent homes, while serving as an example to our children as well as society that marriage is still a goal and love still exists.  We thank you in advance for your contribution to the beginning of our Happily Ever After.
