My name is Sam Amollo am a Kenyan by birth and nationality.

Am procurement and supply chain professional

I feel honored and thrilled to have recently been offered a conditional offer letter to pursue Msc.in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the University of Hull in the United Kingdom as it is has been my dream and passion since my childhood.

As you know in any industry goods need to be procured, stored and dispatched. Efficient and effective management of all these business functions is critical to human life.

With the current situation from a production perspective? Logistics support for imports and exports Sea shipments have slowed down in many countries because of the following:

· Slow movement of goods in ports due to the lack of customs personnel.

· Shortage of workers for loading/unloading ships.

· Lack of road transport, which makes getting goods to the port a challenge.

· Air freight processes have also become more complex:

· In three out of five countries, air freight is undergoing lengthy bureaucratic customs certification processes and delays.

· Only a few air cargo companies are operating in some of the key countries producing HIV medicines. This has resulted in a threefold increase in the cost of air cargo.

· Cargo movement through passenger planes contributes to a large proportion of overall air freight capacity.

· The cancellation of passenger flights has placed added pressure on available cargo space. In-country logistics

The lock downs have closed provincial and state borders in some countries. The result has been increased transport times for the raw materials and other essentials needed to run a pharmaceutical plant and for the finished products on their way to ports. Reduced availability of transport vehicles and labour has also resulted in increased costs for domestic transport.

Some countries are seeking special measures to mitigate logistics issues in order to ease the domestic transport of medicines.

In the retail sector, perfect order deliveries, customer responsiveness and cost efficiency are key competitive priorities.

It comes as no surprise then, that logistics and supply chain management are critical competence areas that contribute to satisfying consumer demand in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

It has been my good fortune to experience the inception and growth of business logistics, and now supply chain management, as an area of academic study, research, and business practice. As a logistics and supply chain professional, I will trace the evolution of thought in the field and make some predictions as to where the field may be headed

It’s likely true that Logistics industry may undergo a lot of changes just like now with this pandemic Covid-19.

However, I’m concerned about my ability to finance my education, so I am writing respectfully request an adjustment to my financial aid award.

To be clear, I would love to attend University of Hull.

A Master’s degree from university of Hull will provides a framework for developing the knowledge and skills required for a successful and rewarding career in logistics and supply chain management.

I appreciate your time in reconsidering my financial aid award. Kindly am appealing to everyone to help with whatever he/she have, I will appreciate remember that givers are more blessed than takers.
