As a journalism student and future reporter I believe it is important to see the world and different cultures to deliver the best, most diverse, and unbiased journalism. Seeing the world and living in a different country will allow me to bring back all the information I will soak up during my internship and studies abroad back to the community and country. I can share my insights into how different countries handle the press and apply the good parts to every new place I interact with throughout the long career in media I plan to have. London is another powerhouse media country, which is why I chose England. London's large role in world media will teach me a different perspective that I cannot get from school and experience in the US. I will bring back the benefits of another large media powerhouse to the United States and make the press here stronger throughout my experience abroad. During my senior year in highschool I took a trip with some of my classmates to London, Paris, and Barcelona which opened my eyes to the importance of global journalism. London was one city's media that excited and intrigued me. Also, my favorite hobby of traveling will make my passport look pretty cool!
