My Travel Story

Taking months at a time to travel is something I knew I wanted to do even as a freshman in high school. I had considered graduating early specifically to travel during what would be my senior year. I put those plans on the back-burner and decided I would finish out my high school experience traditionally. Now that the time has come for me to make a decision for my future, I realize I still want nothing more than to travel and see the world. I feel as though there is no better time for me to do so. First and foremost, I will not have any form of debt attached to my name. Secondly, I know a traveling experience such as this will help me in the decision making process as far as careers go. Finally, I know taking this trip is something that will be undoubtedly life-changing and will fuel my passion for education. With these destinations, I'll be able to fully employ my five years of Spanish I have under my belt and continue to learn. Not only will I be continuing my education, I'll be making an impact on the lives and communities of others with the set in place volunteer activities. While I know that this is not the route many high school graduates take, I can foresee a trip such as this being a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I must take.
