My Travel Story

I took a gap year for work in exchange in New Zealand and Australia 10 years ago. Now that I have reach my middle year crisis (sort of) I decided to take another break because why not right?

For me, I really need to step out of the work to make money - stress at work but life is about making money and repeat for 10, 20, 30 years cycle. I have then decided that I will take a break, venture the world a little to regain positive energy and even when I stop earning money, I should still contribute to the society in any way I can, and volunteering for Nepal's children was something that I chanced upon.

The city of Pokhara is popular with visitors to Nepal and has been well supported by volunteers in different projects. For a start, I will be joining as a childcare volunteer to teach local children some English, general skills and engage them in fun and educational way. It will be a 2 - 3 weeks programme and I am sure it will bring a difference maybe not to the whole world but at least a small portion of me and children in Pokhara.
