My Travel Story

The Put Foot Rally is an unsupported self drive through 4 or 5 countries starting from Cape Town, South Africa, onto Namibia, then Botswana and finish line in Zambia, Africa at Victoria Falls! As we drive through each country we donate much needed school shoes to hundreds of poor children in each country at a school picked by the organisers. Its a humbling experience and one that elevates the dignity of a poor child whose parents cannot afford a pair of school shoes, which in itself can affect learning as they get humiliated by the ones who have shoes. As a Rotarian (Rotary Club of Manzini) this really pulls at my hearstrings! The money for the shoes will be raised by myself. The money from this campaign i will use to participate and all other proceeds will go to the Dr Basil Khosa Free Healthcare project done annually by my Rotary Club Manzini, in Eswatini. We buy medication and invite doctors to a rural area where we provide free specialist healthcare services and give medication after doctor prescription for free to local community. This is very close to my heart especially after Dr Basil who started the outreach, got robbed and killed at an ATM coming from a Rotary meeting....
