My Travel Story

I am studying education at the University of South Australia and I want to volunteer in a school where I can learn the true importance and privilege of education. I want to help make a difference in the local and global community by directly helping to educate those who might otherwise go without. I am passionate about humanity moving towards a sustainable future and I believe that education is key. When I graduate, I want to teach overseas and help commuities that lack education, so I think this experience is just what I need. I chose Tanzania becuase I want to learn what it would mean to help educate a developing nation and I am drawn to Africa for some unknown reason! I think as an aspiring teacher, my main goal is to help people, so this trip is so meaningful to me as I hope it will open my eyes to the reality of the global education situation and provide me with real-life goals for how I can make a difference.
