My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Carly! Growing up I always loved animals. No matter how many times my dream job changed, my purpose remained the same - to help animals. I am working toward becoming a veterinarian technician but I want to see more of the world first. What better way for me to do that than to go to Peru AND volunteer to help animals!? I have the opportunity to care for animals (including condors, eagles, monkeys, felines, bears, llamas, deer, birds, and turtles) at a zoo/rescue center that have been previously neglected or harmed. Or I can help at a dog shelter to care for dogs and get them adopted. At an elevation of 11,152 feet, I will be surrounded by ancient culture in Cusco. Machu Picchu - one of the seven wonders of the world - is a short distance away, as well as the Sacred Valley and other gorgeous landscapes. Immersed in a rich and historic culture, I will be helping the local community while pursuing my passion. I ask you to support me on my journey and help me reach this opportunity of a lifetime.
