My Travel Story

I intend to pursue a PhD in Plant Breeding and Genetics this year after successfully graduating with a Masters Degree in Plant Breeding. I have recently applied for this in renown universities for agricultural sciences in United States with positive feedbacks. 
I am passionate about improving crops to be resistant to their stresses such as diseases and pests. I come from Sub Saharan Africa whereby agriculture is the main source of living and cases of hunger and malnourishment are severe. This spark a passion in me to research on ways to improve the crop productivity in the region.
Having pursued my previous degree in my home country, I found it best to gain more experience and insights from a place where agricultural research is excellent in this case the United States. This will accelerate my career and expose me to new technologies that are not present in my country. However, my dream is limited to lack of finances for travel and the initial upkeep when I arrive there. I am thus looking for assistance to fund my travel for PhD studies abroad.
