I am beginning a fundraiser in aid towards my relocation to the UK I hope to achieve by August 2025. I finish my Master's degree in May 2025 and hope to get immediately started on building my career and life in the UK. I am tired of struggling in an economy that consumes literally everything I make and more. Having Crohn's disease, the ability to access nationalized healthcare would support my current medication needs which will cost me over 8 grand without Medicaid. Rental prices are significantly cheaper and livable compared to the places where I have lived paycheck to paycheck with rats and cockroaches. Educationally and professionally, I can have access to citizenship-priced tuition if I choose to go towards doctorate programs in trauma research. This opportunity will allow me to focus on paying my undergraduate and graduate loans that are over 30 grand without the strain of the US economy.

Graduating with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am relocating to Scotland, UK to begin my work with individuals with serious mental health needs and marginalized populations. I have spent years completing the necessary education, specific population work experience, and fighting through homelessness, domestic violence, and traumatic experiences, and I am finally making it to the end. As a queer (LGBTQ+) person, I hope to give back and support others through the same struggles we face in a world that does not value the person. I obtained my UK citizenship by descent for the chance for more education and professional experience as I begin my career in mental health. Moving from the US will create opportunities for me to immerse myself in the different cultures and mental health needs of the individuals residing in the United Kingdom. At the same time, the hope is to grow and learn in the community for further connections and experiences to grow as a person myself. As I finish my program, I ask for aid in this opportunity and look forward to the world I can live and give back.
