I am looking forward to studying abroad SO MUCH!!! It is truly my passion to travel and immerse myself in the amazing cultures and ways of living around the world, and to make connections with amazing people. It gives me so much joy seeing the world, opening my mindset to new things and gaining wisdom, making friends with amazing people who share their same passion for traveling, and personal development. Getting an education in different areas around the world seriously makes me happier than anything, and specifically for Japan or Bali, I have never been to any countries in that part of the world so I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to experience this. Traveling is the greatest gift and the wisdom and experiences one gains from it is so much more valuable than anything. (in my opinion!):)

I grew up with three younger sisters so I would say I'm pretty used to taking care of others, and myself! I would also consider myself a great friend and I am very empathetic and caring to people (or myself ) who might need help. I always try to see the best in people and am a pretty laid back and non problematic, inclusive person so If any issues with others in the group arise I would try to handle the situation maturely and then if needed ask the program director. As for homesickness and cultural adjustments, I'm in a study abroad program right now in Florence, Italy so I'm used to how it goes and I'm doing well with that! I can Also help other students with tactics to feel better if they need it because I have already gone through it!

Keeping busy and positive are the main things I plan on during my study abroad trip. Scheduling activities including sightseeing, doing activities or meals with roommates/friends, keeping in contact with my family at home and truly appreciating and making the most of the time I have in the location.

I think This program will teach me a lot about life and others. I am constantly learning new things by going to new places and meeting new wonderful people that affect how I see the world and live my life. I think it will continue to grow the knowledge and love I have for traveling and meeting new people and I think it will spark new ideas for some career paths in the future! The educational aspect will benefit a lot too in the fact that the classes I take not only sound super interesting but will also count towards credits to transfer to a 4 year college someday. In all, after the study abroad experience I will not only be more booksmart but wise, more well traveled, having a mindset more immersed in different worldwide cultures, and have had experienced personal growth as well.
