My Travel Story
My name is Moesha Chhabria, and I am an international student currently pursuing a degree in Criminology and Social Policy at the University of Stirling. I am reaching out with an exciting opportunity that I’ve been working towards: studying abroad for a semester in Spain. This experience is more than just an academic pursuit for me; it’s a chance to immerse myself in a new culture, learn a new language, and gain invaluable exposure that will shape my future career and personal growth.
Why Spain?
Spain is a country rich in history, culture, and diversity, making it the perfect place to broaden my horizons. As someone studying criminology and social policy, I am particularly interested in understanding Spain’s legal and social systems and how they differ from those in my home country and the UK. This exposure will provide me with a unique perspective that will be invaluable in my field. Moreover, learning Spanish will not only enhance my communication skills but also open doors for me to engage with more communities in my future work.
How Will This Semester Abroad Benefit Me?
Cultural Immersion: Living and studying in Spain will allow me to experience Spanish culture firsthand, which will help me grow as an individual and develop a global perspective.

What I’m Doing to Fund This Journey
As a full-time student, I am already working part-time to support myself here in Stirling. I’ve also been saving diligently and plan to work full-time during the upcoming winter and summer breaks. Despite my best efforts, the costs associated with studying abroad, including accommodation, flights, groceries, daily living expenses, and program fees, exceed what I can manage on my own.
