Shamrocks and Sand Dunes: From Ireland to Jordan
My Travel Story
The trip would be the opportunity of a lifetime, giving me the opportunity to:
-Visit Petra, the remanents of an ancient civilization in Jordan
-Recieve behind-the-scenes tours of political buildings in Ireland
-Build a groundwork for speaking and understanding Arabic
-Work with experts in international relations, including an ex-Jordanian diplomat
-Foster relationships aroud the world for potential research on women in post-conflcit areas
-And so much more!
I will be studying Peace and Conflict Resolution, specifically the Northern Ireland Conflict and the Israeli-Palistinean Conflict. This is not a one-stop trip or a temperary destination; I hope to make a career out of conflict resolution and humanitarian aid. This trip will help foster the connections and experiences that will help me pursue a masters in the field.
I'm a study abroad optimist and I searched for a long, long time for a program that fit my interests. From South America to East Asia, I covered just about the whole world before finding this gem of a program. This summer would be my dream and even a dollar helps!

Charlotte
