My Travel Story

It has always been a goal of mine to study abroad, and I have finally been provided with the opportunity this summer. I am heading to Granada, Spain where I will be living with a host family & completing my Spanish minor that I have worked so hard for. I have a major appreciation for getting to know different cultures; the language, food, people, social habits, music, arts, etc. and will be spending 10 weeks becoming immersed in it. During my 10 weeks, I will be taking courses, engaging in volunteer opportunities, building relationships, and traveling on the weekends to not only Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, and other cities in Spain, but Italy and other countries as well. The trip is through Sol Education and not out of Grand Valley. I have decided to go on my own so that I am pushed out of my comfort zone, because it is when we are most uncomfortable that we experience the most growth. Unfortunately, I can only donate so much plasma & work so many hours while balancing a full time school schedule. I am looking for donations to help fund my trip. Even a penny helps, but I will always appreciate well wishes too(; Thank you to anyone who helps me reach my goal!
