My Travel Story

Hello everyone, 

My name is Tanya and I am a Irish Teacher based in Abu Dhabi for the last six years where I have been teaching. 

I love teaching especially the smaller children, thats why I have decided to give up my summer and volunteer in Ubud in Bali teaching Kindergarten and helping out.  in cleaning, repairs and renovation activities in local schools. 

I am very lucky to be able to do this and give back to the local community in Ubud. By me volunteering I am able to help and give back in small way to the world. 

One area that I’m passionate about is self-development and self-improvement in my personal life. I’m always looking to challenge myself and learn new things. That’s one reason I enjoy working in schools and being a teacher; I’ve learned great communication skills, listening skills, and problem-solving skills that help me in my day-to-day work but also in my personal life in terms of confidence, communication. 

I chose this destination as it was recommeded to me another colleague. Also, I have never been in Ubud so I wanted to experience a new country too. 
 I've been lucky enough in my life to have fantastic experiences, learning from different cultures and world. I am lucky enough to teach our future generation.
