Avas School Trip
My Travel Story
We will have five full days exploring and learning under the guides and educators of the Appleseed Expeditions. Two days we will be exploring the Grand Tetons. We will take a tram to a peak over 10,000’ high, look for bears, and ride horses. Two days will be at Yellowstone National Park. Sights will include Hayden Valley, Norris Basin, Yellowstone Grand Canyon and a wolf and bear preserve. The last day in Jackson, WY will include a white water trip, the National Wildlife Art Museum, talking to locals and dinner in the charming town of Jackson.
We also will see the effects of climate change on the Tetons’ snow levels.
Our themes for the trip are community and belonging. A study of the Rocky Mountain ecosystem provides a great example in nature of these ideas. The trip to the local area, interviews and lessons from their craftsmen will add the human element of community..
