International Medical Internship
My Travel Story
I am so excited to announce that International Medical Aid has recently accepted me to their pre-physician assistant medical internship in Mombasa, Kenya. This trip will focus on providing urgent assistance and support to underserved individuals through mobile hygiene clinics and public health education programs. It will also provide the opportunity for students like me to gain exposure in various specialties in medical electives, furthering my practical experience. Some departments that I will concentrate on are the following: surgery, radiology, comprehensive care clinic, and pediatrics.
I am an incoming sophomore in Wagner's 5-year accelerated BS/MS program with a strong interest in working for non-profit organizations. I am currently on the dean's list (fall 2019 & spring 2020), a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and have been maintaining an average of 3.93 GPA. Along with my academic success, I am an active volunteer. I have been part of the Food Recovery Network for almost a year and have recently become the social media manager. During this pandemic, I have also started to volunteer in my hometown, Livingston, NJ, where I shop and deliver groceries to elderly citizens.
Unfortunately, I am unable to afford the program cost. Thus, I am asking for your help. If you are able to donate to help me fund the program expenses, I would greatly appreciate it! If not, I understand, and thank you for supporting me and taking the time to read this!
