Hi my name is Erika and I'm a 21 year old college student , majoring in photography. This year I got accepted to study abroad in Japan for the spring semester 2015 for 3 months through Kcp . Since I was a child , I always wanted to travel abroad , See the world through a different perspective , breathe in new surroundings , get in touch with different cultures and backgrounds and open my mind to different parts of the world. 


The country that captured my heart at a very young age is Japan . I always dreamed that one day I would get the opportunity to study Japanese and learn more about Japanese culture that caught my eye many years ago and made me fall deeply in love with the beautiful country. Traveling has always been a passion of my mines that will never go away. My dream is to become fluent in Japanese and live the rest of my life there as an English teacher if possible . 

I feel this will be beneficial in my life because it will help me grow and keep me motivated to follow my dream and learn more about the country that has capture my heart for a very long time .  I have been studying Japanese for 3 years and even build up the courage to take the jlpt n5 exam at Villanova university. The trip abroad cost 7,000$ and I will be deeply grateful for anyone's help to make this study abroad experience possible .
