I'm homeless and physically disabled, on the verge of my car registration expiring, in a homeless shelter in a state that has passed legislation to allow LGBTQ discrimination in all things. I've been denied HUD and am losing my SNAP & Medicaid that I already fought for. I need the gas money to get to a state where LGBTQ people are allowed to live. It's also a felony here now to wear the "wrong" clothes. The shelter has a maximum stay if 2 years so there's no sense in me ending up with no car, no housing, & no services when I can't walk very well.
