My Travel Story

My name is Faviola Garcia and I am a third-year student at the University of the Pacific. I am a double major in Spanish and Sociology, as well as double minor in Gender and Latin American Studies. In the spring of 2017, I hope to travel to Seville, Spain through the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) Liberal Arts Program. As a first-generation college student I am very excited about this opportunity which will allow me to expand my Spanish language skills, experience different cultural/academic environment, the opportunity to travel, all while contributing to my career development! My travel experiences will undoubtedly broaden my academic and personal perspectives as well. I am working hard to raise funds for this trip and will be helping to pay for a portion of the trip myself. As I previously mentioned, I am first-generation and low-income student, so raising funds of this magnitude for the trip is a challenge, which I embrace wholeheartedly, but with which I could use assistance. Therefore, I am looking for donors, such as yourself, to sponsor a portion of my experience.
