Hi you!

I am Sofia Chizzini,I was born and raised in Ushuaia, South Patagonia - Argentina. I am an audiovisual director, artist and producer with a degree in Film and TV.

One week ago I received the news that I got selected to participate in the NAFF Fantastic Film School, a genre film production education and networking program for emerging filmmakers from around the world. This will be happening in Bucheon, South Korea in July 2024 (yes!!! in 6 weeks)

Renowned international experts from all fields of the film industry are invited as mentors to create a curriculum that proves practical in the reality of film production. Based on this principle NAFF Fantastic Film School has trained 342 filmmakers for the last 15 years.

The systematic curriculum consists of lectures and team workshops given by renown industry experts that leads to an open pitching session and mentoring session. The participants from around the world will be trained to be able to bring the genre film industry to the next level.

I find this as an very unique opportunity and a key step in my career as a Director.

Due to the extremely hard economic crisis we are experiencing in Argentina it's been very difficult to even get to the end of month (287,9% IPC).

The whole film and cultural industry is in crisis and the cinematographic activity has decreased abruptly and there are very few films and series that are being produced this year, which is why it is being very difficult to subsist as an independent worker and filmmaker.

It is a crucial moment and it would be very significant for me to receive your help.

Please help me to get to the other side of the globe!!!

BIO:

I have a Degree in Film and TV (UNC) and work as audiovisual creative, director and producer independently since 2010 in different roles within the audiovisual and artistic scene. I've participated in national and international productions, inside and outside Argentina, having the possibility (and fortune!) to train, explore and develop a wide range of skills.

In 2018 I directed the second season of "Misterios Submarinos del Fin del Mundo", an Argentinian TV series winner of Japan Prize in 2019 and others.
In 2023 I was one of the winners of Historias Breves contest (INCAA) with ANTIBODY, a short film which she co- directed, co-write and starred in. Also this year she created ARCHIPIELAGO MEDIA, her audiovisual label and creative production company.
