I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this study abroad program. It will provide me with an in-depth understanding of sports' critical role in society. The program's itinerary includes a visit to Paris during the Olympics, which will offer me a first-hand experience of the impact of this global event on the city's economy and tourism. This experience will undoubtedly be a game-changer for my career aspirations. It will allow me to network with influential figures and companies in one of the world's most prominent cities. I am thrilled at the prospect of connecting with individuals who can offer me valuable insights and guidance to help me advance my professional journey.

Furthermore, this study abroad program aligns perfectly with my academic interests and goals. I am deeply fascinated with kinesiology and am thrilled to pursue a minor in this field. The program will enable me to explore this subject more deeply and examine its many applications, particularly in the context of sports. I am excited to learn about sports' critical role in shaping our society and the pressures that athletes face in this regard. With this opportunity, I will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of kinesiology in our world.

I chose this program because of my deep interest in anatomy and kinesiology, as well as my desire to expand my knowledge of societal and economic issues. Every aspect of the program piques my interest, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to learn about the historical and cultural significance of sports in France. As an art and architecture lover, traveling to France has been a long-held dream of mine since middle school. I used to look up the famous landmarks and imagine myself walking around the streets of Paris and reveling in the rich, historical atmosphere France has to offer. I was overjoyed when I received the confirmation that I was accepted on this study-abroad trip. Knowing that my childhood dream would become a reality brought me immense satisfaction. Even if France were not as I imagined, I would still study and learn in a different environment and explore how our countries differ.

I am also looking forward to better understanding the economic and social impact of large-scale sporting events like the Olympics. This experience will enable me to observe the effects of a global event like the Olympics on a city's economy, infrastructure, and tourism industry, among other areas. Paris already has millions of tourists yearly, but I would like to see how it would handle the surplus of tourists during this famous event. I am curious about how it will impact the daily lives of the people who live there.

Moving on, I am academically prepared for this program as I have reviewed the itinerary and academic information to equip myself with the background information to succeed correctly. Knowing that this program was made to address the controversies surrounding sports in society, I have researched these controversies and societal pressures on athletes. As I mentioned before, I have been exploring France in my free time since middle school, and I still do so. I am updated with what is happening in Paris in almost every category, from business to culture. I have also started learning the basics of French in preparation for my trip. I will continue to educate myself as much as possible before studying abroad to make the most of it without causing trouble for those around me. I will also use those around me, such as the program leaders and fellow students, to educate myself further.

Finally, I am confident that this study abroad experience will significantly impact my future by providing me with new insights. This program will not only influence my education but will also affect who I am. I will embark on a journey of self-growth and cultural awakening, opening myself to unfamiliar experiences. I am excited to engage with other students who share my interests and learn from the program's experts. I am convinced that this program will be a transformative experience that will enable me to make meaningful contributions to the world of sports and beyond. I do not want to take this opportunity lightly, so I will make the most of it and indulge in a creative and innovative educational adventure. As this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, I will capture every memorable moment, whether good or bad. I will digest each conversation, lesson, and view to build my knowledge of culture and education.

I will gain valuable insights and knowledge about sports, kinesiology, society, and the impact of large-scale events like the Olympics on Paris' economy and tourism.
