Join me on an unforgettable journey as I set off to visit my children in the stunning town of Campbell River! Nestled on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, this picturesque destination is not just a backdrop for our reunion; it’s a playground of adventure, laughter, and cherished memories waiting to be made.

Why this trip matters?

Life can get busy, and time spent with family is precious. This trip is about reconnecting with my children, creating lasting memories, and embracing the beauty of nature together. I want to share our experiences and inspire others to prioritize family time, no matter how far apart life may take us.

What we will do

1. Explore Elk Falls Provincial Park: Our adventure kicks off with a hike through the breathtaking Elk Falls Provincial Park. We’ll traverse scenic trails, marvel at the majestic waterfalls, and capture stunning photos that will remind us of the beauty of nature and the joy of being together.

2. Kayaking on the Campbell River: Next, we’ll hit the water! Renting kayaks, we’ll paddle along the serene coastline, soaking in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for seals and eagles, making this a thrilling experience for all of us.

3. Savor Local Delights No trip is complete without indulging in local cuisine! We’ll treat ourselves to the best fish and chips Campbell River has to offer, enjoying our meal with a view of the sunset over the water. Sharing stories and laughter over delicious food is what family time is all about.

4. Island Exploration: We’ll take a ferry to the nearby Discovery Islands for a day of exploration. From hiking and beachcombing to tide pooling, we’ll immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the islands, discovering the vibrant marine life and creating unforgettable moments together.

5. Cozy Campfire Nights: As the sun sets, we’ll gather around a cozy fire pit in the backyard, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. These intimate moments will remind us of the warmth of family bonds and the joy of simply being together.
