My Travel Story

This January, I will be travelling to Costa Rica to volunteer in clinics, the homeless and the elderly, as well as on ambulance rounds. I want to learn more about health issues worldwide, how to use my medical skills in different and challenging situations, how to better understand and respect different cultures by interacting with local communities, and ultimately help improve healthcare where it's needed most. I also aim to build lasting connections with healthcare professionals, see the bigger picture of public health, and hopefully, make a positive impact on healthcare in Costa Rica. Right now, I'm raising money to cover the costs, and your donation would mean a lot to me. I'm really excited about this opportunity, and any support you can give would be greatly appreciated!


Este enero viajaré a Costa Rica para ser voluntaria en clínicas, personas sin hogar y ancianos, así como en rondas de ambulancia. Quiero aprender más sobre problemas de salud en todo el mundo, cómo utilizar mis habilidades médicas en situaciones diferentes y desafiantes, cómo comprender y respetar mejor las diferentes culturas al interactuar con las comunidades locales y, en última instancia, ayudar a mejorar la atención médica donde más se necesita. También mi objetivo es construir conexiones duraderas con profesionales de la salud, ver el panorama más amplio de la salud pública y, con suerte, generar un impacto positivo en la atención médica en Costa Rica.
