My Travel Story

This journey all started in 2019 when I decided to purchase the Canon Powershot G7 Mark || Camera.  I initially bought it so that I can start vlogging, but one day I took a photo and ever since then things changed. I did a podcast with three episodes but started taking photos seriously. I ended up selling that camera because I was broke and bought a cheaper one. I taught myself how to use cameras by watching videos, making mistakes and attending a short six month unpaid film internship. I was able to have more hands on training within the film industry and I've been inspired to create ever since. I've had a blog for sometime, it started off as a "anything on my mind" blog. Then it turned into my personal dating life blog because that was very interesting for my auidence and something I enjoy writing about. I enjoy writing a lot.

   It never dawned on me that I wanted to travel the world because I was scared to travel alone. This all changed in September of 2023 when the guy I was dating and also living with at the time planned an almost two month trip throughout Thailand, Vietnam and Japan. Taking that trip changed my perspective on a lot of things. I never realized I've been trapped in my own mind of being scared to do a lot of things. Ever since that trip all I ever thought about was traveling forever. Appreciating and capturing the beauty within the culutres, lifestyles and environments of the places I reach, and meeting, networking and creating memories with people all over the world willing to participate in community and creative projects.

   Eventually I would like to publish a memior about my life, a travel book digging deep inside the minds of the locals from each country, photobooks from pictures I've taken in each country, shortfilms, movies, and open up a production business. Throughout my travels I will be building my portfolio and dedicating all my time to myself, my craft, my mental health and my peace. Rather than working a job that makes me feel stuck in life, worsens my mental health and limits my capabilites. I have been feeling very unmotivated to work on the things that make me happy due to my household and work environments, lack of support system and funds to purchase upgraded equipment. Which is why I have to take this risk of packing up all my things and continue my journey to find my true self and a new home. I want to be able to immerse myself into these countries and learn the different languages so we all feel comfortable.

   I will be opening up opporutnities for people who are interested in anything within building a production business, participating and assisting in short films or short docu-series, and helping out communities by spreading love, positivity and peace throughout all sorts of social activities. I want to be able to inspire other people to follow their dreams and passions. I want to be able to provide comfort in those who feel like they are alone. I want to find my tribe so that I don't also feel alone in this journey.  All of these things are my inspiration and motivation towards this project. 


   I am raising money to be able to continue my travels while I am in Southeast Asia so that I can successfully make it to Europe. I bought a one way flight to Thailand for September 15, 2024. I have my accommodations booked in Thailand for one month. I will then proceed to Cambodia for three weeks. I have those accommodations booked as well. I am currently in the process of starting to book my accommodations for Vietnam. I plan to be there for three months. From Vietnam I will go to Malaysia for one week. Singapore for three days. Indonesia for two weeks. Phillippines for one week. Hong Kong for one week, Taiwain for one week, South Korea for three months and Japan for three months. After traveling Southeast Asia, I will venture off into Albania, Turkey, Greece and move farther into Europe. While I am in each of these countries, I will be searching for my new home. Ideally I would love to live in Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Japan, or Portugal. I don't have a college degree so I will need my TEFL Certificate which costs appoximately anywhere between $1500-$2000. I am determined to learning the best that I can of each of these languages so that everyone can see how dedicated, helpful and passionate I am to about this project. Along with being able to properly communicate and teach others English.

   I currently operate on a Panasonic Lumix FZ80 which only has 18 megapixels. I am looking to be able to buy a better quality camera to be able to fufill my creativity to the extent. This will cost me anywhere between $2000-$3000 since I also need miscellanous lighting, mic and lens equipment. I only have a google chromebook laptop which I will need to upgrade in order for me to be able to edit my photos and videos correctly, and access an unlimited amount of resources that are not easily accesible through the phone. There are plenty more expenses that are of neccestity, like more airfare, hostels, and food. But my main priority is being able to fufill my dreams, find a new home, and build the family that I deserve far away from "home."
