Thank you for reading about my trip abroad. The call to come to Assisi, to the land of Saint Francis, on spiritual Pilgrimage has been increasing for years.

Finally this year, after a terible divorce intertwined with policitcal, financial, social status factors, I took what I had left in life, a small amount of money and the desire to be nearer to the Saint's way of living, and I left on the cheapest flight imaginable.

Already my time here has been profound and began a healing thought to be impossible. When science says it cannot be done, and then it is, that's the miraculous telling us "this way".

I feel compelled to continue deepening my communion here. The profound way the lives of the Saints in Assisi and some other holy places nearby, has inspired me to seek the means to extend my time here.

Today a Franciscian friar spoke about St Francis's life & words in such a way that I feel like I have arrived home spiritually.

I asked the Infinite Divine to provide what must be provided, so I can continue to go deeper.

This is a pilgrimage, so my travels are very humble, skipping many "vacation" factors others indulge in to feel relief from the typical strains of life. The time soent here is more valuable than the objects, nice hotels, extra trips here and there, alcohol.. all that stuff we do on vacation - I'm not doing those things.  

I am able to stick to a minimalist budget,  feeling "fed" by this holy place, I eat simply, having one meal a day and fruit or bread otherwise. Accommodations and airline fees are of course the more expensive side of things, (even as I stay in monasteries, not as low-cost as they pnce were). 

There is a low-cost, partial work-trade program That would allow me to 
stay longer, if I just raise some more funds. It could be a way for me to extend my time here. The length of time of the program varies from 1-3 months, a deep immersion, with very humble dormatory dwellings and healthy but basic food. 

I'm going to be adding in "rewards" to this fund raiser, small tokens of Saint Framcis and Saint Clare, to be sent to you for your contribution.
