My Travel Story

by: Ramil Tulyashev Start Date: Jul 19, 2023 - End Date: Jul 18, 2024
Certainly! Here's your story with the added paragraph:

Hello! My name is Ramil, and I am 29 years old. My aim is not to gather funds for travel but to secure an opportunity for a fresh start.

Born into a humble family in Kazakhstan, I grew up with my father and grandmother. At the tender age of 12, I started earning my first money. While never affluent, I always managed to scrape by, even saving enough for travel.

My first adventure was to Turkey three years ago. Its captivating nature and welcoming people left an indelible mark on me. From there, I journeyed to Bali, via Kuala Lumpur. Despite spending only 24 hours there, I loved it. The month I lived in Bali was filled with memorable experiences, interesting people, and awe-inspiring natural beauty.

Following Bali, my travels took me to the island of Pangan in Thailand. Here, I found my happiness and freedom. Despite a visa restriction limiting my stay to just two weeks, those two weeks proved to be the most wonderful of my life.

In addition to all these plans, I also wish to create a YouTube channel to document my journey, share my experiences, and assist others looking to work in Norway. I believe this channel will not only be beneficial for those interested, but it will also serve as a source of additional income that could eventually allow me to work remotely. To make this happen, I need to purchase a camera and equipment

Unfortunately, my financial troubles began about two years ago. A significant emotional upheaval led to a severe depression that lasted half a year, during which I was unable to work. In the process, I lost all my clients. My primary occupation is as an internet automation developer.

With no income, I found myself unable to pay rent. To survive, I had to borrow money from friends, accumulating around $4000 in debt.

However, I've found a ray of hope. I discovered a job opportunity in a fish factory in Norway. The role offers an hourly rate of 18 euros, translating to around 4000 euros a month! With such income, I can clear my debts within a month.

My plan is to sign a six-month contract, earn enough to repay my debts, set some aside for security, and use the rest to live in Pangan. In essence, I want to spend half a year working in Norway and the other half living in Pangan, with some travel to nearby countries.

Considering the cost of living in Asia, I estimate that I will need approximately $1500 a month. Therefore, working for half a year in Norway will net me around $24,000, of which $9,000 will suffice for half a year in Thailand, leaving a substantial amount for savings.

While this plan is close to my heart and appears achievable, I am currently constrained by financial limitations. I urgently need $3500 to cover the cost of paperwork for Norway, including visa fees, taxes, and travel expenses. Additionally, I need to settle my rent arrears before departing.

I share my story here for two reasons:

1) I can't borrow more money from friends until I repay my existing debt. The weight of this debt is draining me of energy.
2) After waking up from a dream with a clear understanding that I needed to share my story here, I felt compelled to do so.

In terms of repayment, I would love to repay any assistance received if that's an option. If not, I can only offer my deep gratitude. Furthermore, I plan to document my journey on a YouTube channel. If successful, I will feature a video expressing my heartfelt thanks to those who lent me a helping hand on this site, mentioning each name.
