My Travel Story

Hi,Kenya is where I live, and my name is Eric Mwangangi. I am raising funds to travel to Rwanda, not for tourism, but for a journey of learning, healing, and honoring the lives lost during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
I treasure this trip so much. I want to go to Rwanda to learn about the country's history, see how it has rebuilt itself, and learn about peace, unity, and reconciliation from the people who chose healing despite experiencing unimaginable pain.Rwanda's post-genocide story is one of perseverance. Visiting memorial sites like the Kigali Genocide Memorial and hearing survivors’ stories will allow me to connect deeply with African history that is often untold or forgotten.
I hope to share what I learn with others when I return to Kenya, particularly young people who are unfamiliar with this portion of our region's past. I believe this journey will assist me in growing spiritually and emotionally.
