My Travel Story

In recent years, the island of Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania has suffered from mass amounts of coastal and marine pollution. I have signed up for a volunteer trip with IVHQ for four weeks to help combat this pollution and try and make a difference for the better. I plan to use my time to clean plastics and pollution off the ocean floor to restore the beautiful marine habitat. While I am there I hope to explore this wonderful island and the cultural communties that reside there. It is my first trip to Africa and will be a great adventure as well as an opportunity to protect nature and develop my skills in marine conservation and to be a part of an international program joining people from all over the world in helping communities in need.
