This project will have a huge impact on both my education and future career by allowing me to dive deep into the real-life practices of longevity in a Blue Zone. I’ve always been passionate about health and wellness, and the opportunity to explore the Mediterranean diet, active lifestyles, and strong community ties firsthand will give me invaluable insights I can apply to my future work in nutrition and public health. I’m particularly excited about how this experience will bridge the gap between what I’ve studied in the classroom and how these concepts are lived out in a place where people consistently thrive well into their 90s and beyond.

I’ve always been drawn to the idea of preventive health and helping others live fuller, healthier lives, and this project aligns perfectly with that vision. It’s not just about studying a culture; it’s about learning from a community that has found ways to nurture health and happiness in ways that I want to bring back and share. This project is meaningful to me because it represents a chance to apply my passions in a way that could make a real difference in how others approach their own health and longevity.
