My Travel Story

by: Chaim Gross Start Date: May 27, 2019 - End Date: Aug 19, 2019
Dearest family, friends, neighbors, and strangers,

It isn't just children who dream of being superheroes. We all posses an innate desire to be a hero, to be able to save the world in our own little ways. But as life progresses, we lose sight of that desire, and we lose the opportunity to make a universal impact. Truth be told, we may never be able save the world, but we can do our utmost to save a part of it.

Now, at this point you may be wondering, I have a job and a family and numerous responsibilities, so how might I go about impacting the world?

By doing what you can, and donating any amount towards our journey to impact a small little country in Southern Asia. This summer we hope to travel with Touro College's Osteopathic Medicine program to provide medical aid to those afflicted in Nepal. We need your help to fund the costly medical equipment and doctor fees, to help the children of Kathmandu and Pokhora-Lekhnath.

In conjunction with Chabad of Kathmandu and the International Volunteer Headquarters, we will be helping the medical needs of local Nepalis, such as to vaccinate the population there, as well as teach basic hygiene, in our created clinic.

We need your help to be the superheroes to those children!

Traveling the country creating field clinics in old age homes, preschools, and community squares, us volunteers will be on the ground in Nepal, this summer, teaching underprivileged children, as well as adults, proper techniques in the usage of modern medicine, to help them live a healthier and happier life. All the while, knowing that YOU helped make it possible.

On behalf of us, Touro College, the IVHQ Medical Mission, and the country of Nepal,

Thanks for being our superhero :)
