Hello, my name is Zahra Hussain and in July 2020, I intend to go on a volunteering trip to Ghana with my school, as part of the African Adventures program. The African Adventures charity aim to support the many children who work with their parents to provide income instead of receiving an education; by 'improving their facilities and encouraging more children to go to school from an early age'. I am personally passionate about this project, as working for charities is a potential career which I am very interested in following; and this volunteering opportunity will allow me to see first hand at least the short term impacts of charity work on those most vulnerable. It will also be an experience of a lifetime, I am really looking forward to it and am truly honoured to have such an opportunity.
However fundraising is also a key part of enabling this program and the progress it provides to its communities, and every little contribution would show massive support for this cause.
