My Travel Story

On May 17th, I will be graduating from my Master's Program in Counseling with an emphasis on Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (www.ciis.edu). In the last 3 years, I have been a full-time student working part-time at 2 jobs on campus until last summer, working for the CIIS graduation committee the last 2 years, donated time to sit in and participate on a faculty search and hiring committee as a student representative, I trained one full summer and was certified as a Rape Crisis Counselor and spent a year on hotlines and as a peer counselor at San Francisco Women Against Rape (www.sfwar.org). Currently, I have been seeing clients for over a year at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy (http://www.ciis.edu/About_CIIS/Counseling_Centers/Center_for_Somatic_Psychotherapy.html) as a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee, and am also a Teaching Assistant at school. Needless to say, I've been pretty busy. Before I embark on my new adventure of becoming an intern and continuing my journey towards becoming a licensed therapist, I need a moment to BREATHE, let the last 3 years settle in, and actually CELEBRATE my hard work.

This trip is my graduation gift. The airfare has been paid in full and now I need to raise funds for lodging, transportation, and meals for 2 weeks ... AND
