I live in Simpsonville, SC but I was born in Santa Fe, NM. I haven't been out west in at least 8 years. I do want to see the rest of my family, but my beloved Uncle is old and his health is steadily declining. Me and my uncle are the last surviving males of our bloodline. We are both historians/geneaologists (he's professional, I'm ametuer) and we both have been working on our family history. Apart from geneaology, me and my Uncle Adrian have a lot to discuss and unfortuneatly the phone is not an option for him anymore.

On the way back from NM, I plan on going to Corpus Cristi, TX to learn more about the Civil War battles my ancestor fought in and I want to see if I can't contact some of my family on his side.

From TX, I will be heading to Montgomery, AL to locate Hank Williams' grave. Later this coming spring, my friends and I will be playing shows with a 40s-60s era country band we put together in a mini tour from Simpsonville, SC to Montgomery, AL as part of a documentary we are writing about Hank Williams. I will be going to Montgomery to find Hank's grave, map out a route from there to Simpsonville, and get the country band a show or two along the way.

I'm not really keen on the idea of being given money. I'm in the midst of starting a flooring/handyman service in Simpsonville, SC, however, business slowed to screatching hault and I'm having a horrible time saving up what I need to make this trip happen. I am way more than willing work for whatever money given to me. I just want to go see my uncle one last time.
