My Travel Story

This year I would like to join International Volunteers HQ as a farm worker in Ghana, helping with labor and whatever technial expertise I can offer as a mechanical engineer. I hope to learn more about agricultural practices in sub Saharan Africa and what the challenges of climate change may bring.

I would like to continue going to Ghana annually until my work in the US is through in a few years and I can focus exclusively on serving the wonderful people of Ghana. I fell in love with this country during my first trip here in 2021 and I want to do everything I can to help this vibrant and young country prosper.

It's a privilege for me to take what life has given me and use it as a tool for service to others. I want to learn more about Ghana's and sub Saharan Africa's future challenges with climate change and do what I can to slow desertification, increase water access, and learn how sustainable agriculture can help this region grow and prosper.
