My Travel Story

Ideas form inspiration bred from motivation, which is spun from the web of dreams and ideals. A photograph of a sakura tree kindled the idea of my traveling and studying in Asia. I didn’t know I had a favorite flower until I saw a cherry blossom! The more I learn about Japan’s history, culture and people, the more I’m in constant awe of the harmony of past and present. A philosophy that I greatly admire: the art of keeping one eye on the past, while moving boldly forward to the future.
I’m curently a sophomore at Eastern Oregon University and knew what I was going to do before I enrolled. To compliment my goals for my desired future, I’m double majoring in Music and English, with an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) minor. What I will do with these learned skills to go into the music industry or teaching English to youth. Studying abroad not only exposes me to new things, but witness how teachers explain subjects like Science and English to their pupils. 
I'd be spending an academic year in Japan to make the most of the experiances and skills that will put my foot in the door of my future profession, not to mention that I'll be making friends that will last a life time!
