To visit the villages and countryside on how to assist
My Travel Story
My name is Daouda Diop, and I am a Senegalese national. For the past 20 years, I have been living abroad, spending some time in the United States, specifically in Chicago. My journey also took me to Italy, where I resided for eight years in Rome. During my time there, I worked for IFAD, the International Fund for Agricultural Development. This role provided me with the opportunity to travel extensively and hear many stories from consultants returning from their missions.
Recently, Senegal experienced a significant change with the election of a new, young, and committed government, which is a stark contrast to the previous administration that was marred by severe corruption and a lack of desire to make a difference. This new leadership gives me hope and the opportunity to travel to the countryside, visit villages, and start conversations on how to assist and support them, one class at a time. While the government faces budget constraints and cannot do it all, I am eager to contribute to making a positive impact.
