Hi, I'm Erin and my 16-year-old son Evan was nominated as a band student to join the Illinois Ambassadors of Music. Evan is working hard to fundraise to attend the trip while continuing in Symphonic band and Marching Band, doing volunteer work hours, working part-time, and maintaining his grades in honors classes along with helping me with his little brother. Evan served as an Altar Server at our Parish, SSCM, for 5 years. Evan dreams of being a music teacher someday, serving his parish, and would love to give back to his community.

Qualifications include students of strong character, leadership, and musicianship. Students do not need to be of first chair or ILMEA caliber to participate. They do need to be trustworthy and willing to work hard. My son was nominated by his elementary band director because he has been working hard at music since 4th grade. Although he loves Trombone, he also plays Baritone, Piano, Guitar, and a few other wind instruments.

The Ambassadors of Music tour offers talented student musicians an unparalleled opportunity to explore the best of Europe, including the birthplace of classical music itself. This fifteen-day tour takes students and directors on an adventure through five countries, with once-in-a-lifetime cultural experiences including performances in historic venues.
