Hi, I'm Holly and I’d really appreciate it if you could help me raise funds to go on a dancing tour to Italy in July 2020.

I eat, sleep and breathe dance and I have a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I am 14, live in Cape Town and have never been oversees so am so excited at the prospect of being able to join the other girls in my group.

The cost of the trip is way more than expected so I’m trying to raise funds to be able to help pay for it.

For those of you who don’t know, I am part of a group of 20 girls who have danced together for years. We belong to a wonderful dance company in Pinelands and we ballet and modern dancing.

The trip to Italy is partly cultural (we’ll visit incredible places like the Sistine Chapel and Pompeii) but mostly focused around dance. We’ll spend a week in Castellana Grotto attending two workshops a day taken by dance professionals from all over the world.

The tour concludes with a competition where our group will showcase two dances which have been specifically choreographed for the event. We’ll be working hard to perfect these over a period of 6 months beforehand. I can think of no better reward for the effort than getting to perform in Italy!!

It will mean the world to me to be able to go and I know I’ll draw huge inspiration from this tour. I’ll not only have the memories but will benefit from it in so many ways for the rest of my life!
